National Male Voice Choir Festival

WVYC Artistic Director, Alpha Gregory, has been invited to be Guest Conductor for the National Male Voice Choir Festival to be held in Sydney Town Hall on Sunday 14 November, 2010. "It's a great honour to be invited." she says.
The first festival after a break of many years, was held in Llewellyn Hall in November 2008. Dr Alwyn Humphreys from Wales was the Guest Conductor and WYVC was among the guest artists. Dr Humphreys encouraged Alpha to be more active in male voice choir work and she is happy to oblige.
Repertoire for the concert will include Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine, Jarman's Pemulwuy, Sydameni laulu by Sibelius and Anthem from Chess.
